Orestes: The Young Lion

Looking for ways to promote my latest release, The Young Lion.  If you have not bought your copy yet, please do.  And if you like it, please leave a review and pass the word to your friends.  It's far cheaper on Kindle ($2.99) than it will be in print ($23), and it is a cut above anything else I have written before.  No writing a story around sex scenes.  Far superior in terms of copy editing and formatting.  And there's a map!

I don't know why Amazon and CreateSpace make self-published print so horribly expensive.  There's no logic in it, because it's print-on-demand, with no overhead.  Therefore, it should be cheaper than traditional paperbacks.  I only decided to pursue a print option to go along with the ebook because not everyone has Kindle.

I checked my agreement with Amazon, and it's nonexclusive. I am looking into Smashwords and Fictionwise, too, which I wouldn't have done if you hadn't said something.

Cool! :-D

I've bought ebooks from both those sites in the past. I know DRM epub ebooks are definitely possible, certainly all the mainstream novels I've bought are DRM and if I were you I'd probably be looking for a site with that option to get maximum protection from piracy (not that there are any totally piracy-proof solutions).

Hopefully more formats should get you more sales - I know Nook and Kobo ereaders, iPad and Android phones can read epub format ebooks, but I think not Kindle ebooks.

:-D :-D :-D

Thank you! Bought it, and it's next on my reading list after I finish Dorothy Dunnett's "Nicolo Rising" (which I highly recommend, if you haven't already read it, along with all of her Lymond Chronicles series.)
